Hi kids, Happy Halloween! I hope you’re having fun trick-or-treating. Unfortunately, I have some bad news.

It’s about the supply chain shortage we’re having.

As we all know, the supply chain has been completely wrecked. And that means I can’t give you what you want for Halloween; treats.

I tried to buy some chocolates, but the store was completely empty. When I asked the clerk, he shrugged and said, “It’s October 31,” and gave me a knowing look.

The look that means “supply chain shortages have wiped out all chocolates from every store shelf in the city.”

I asked about jelly beans — those are always in stock, right?

Wrong. “Sold out,” he said.

I couldn’t believe it — the supply chain shortage choked jelly beans out of our ports and harbors!

I decided that was no big deal, because what else do kids like to get on Halloween? Money! So I went to the cashier to get quarters to hand out.

But when I brought out a $100 bill and asked for change in quarters, the cashier laughed at me! “Uh, there’s a coin shortage, mister!”
